All About Me
On August 29th, 2003 Wayne J. Yee completed the Continuum Level II course of study at The Pankey Institute for Advance Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida. Intensive training is provided in State-of-the-Art facilities, with nationally recognized faculty. The program offers a comprehensive learning experience for Dentists who desire a more proactive and patient orientated approach to advance dental techniques. The goal is service to patients with the highest quality care. The Institute's reputation is world renown and recognized by leading State and National Dental Associations. A Certified Dental Oncologist by Training: Dr. Wayne Yee completed his Post Graduate 2nd Year Fellowship (PGY-2) at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to become a certified Dental Oncologist. A Dental Oncologist is a sub-specialty of Oral Pathology trained to treat cancer patients. Pre-treatment, present, and former Cancer patients have special Dental requirements due to their compromised immune system. Dental Oncologists are trained to meet the needs of treating ALL cancer patients regardless of the type of cancer. Changes in their oral health can greatly effect a cancer patient's quality of life, and prognosis. Therefore a comprehensive oral exam by a Dental Oncologist is strongly recommended prior to receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatment
